Kia Sorento have few problems with lubrication and oil pressure. Lack of lubrication leads to damaging the timing gear and chain. This is not unusual with this model. Sorento's timing chain should be changed at 80.000 miles. Don't forget that it is a little cost to change it on time than later pay for a new engine. If you arrived to this page you may have problems with the timing chain noise on startup. If this chain noise takes longer than 5 sec then you should also change the chain tensioner which is included in this kit.
