Mitsubishi L200 & Triton 2.5DiD 16V 4D56U Crankshaft

There are two different types of 2.5 diesel L200 Trojan and Triton Challenger engines (KB4T).

Earlier Mitsubishi L200 (K74) and Mitsubishi Pajero engines were fitted with 4D56 8 valve (non-turbo) and 4D56T turbo diesel engines. Commonly used 2.5 TD. 4D56 and 4D56T engines all have had 8 valve cylinderhead and they were produced between 2001 and 2006. Later on in 2006 Mitsubishi L200 Trojan & Triton models have been fitted with a 16V cylinder-head.  The engine code of those newer engines is 4D56U. 4D56 and 4D56T crankshafts are NOT the same as the 4D56U. L200 and Trojan 4D56T/4D56U 16V are marked as 2.5 DiD engine. So there is an easy way to identify which model you have.

4D56U engines are in the Mitsubishi 2.5 DiD models from 2006 to 2015. All these engines have the 16 valve cylinderhead. This new 4D56U crankshaft replacement kit is for the later 16V models. If you have the older 8V engine then please do NOT purchase this kit. We also offer similar crankshaft kit for 4D56 and 4D56T engines in our online store. Newer 4D56U engine codes are often marked az TDI but this is not its engine code.

The replacement crankshaft kit includes:

*1set of overhaul gasket kit
*1pc of brand new (not regrinded or used) crankshaft
*1set of main bearing set (big end) STD size
*1set of con rod (small end) bearing set  STD size

Optional:

* If you opt for timing belt kit then parts below will be included. In this case no need to opt for extra water pump.

* 1set of cylinder head bolts (optional)
* 1set of conrod (optional)
