Within this listing we offer a set of door weatherstrips for BMW E24 models. This is our own product. It is not a universal rubber seal set. It was made using the genuine E24 door seals.
These are replacement perimeter door-frame rubber seals for the BMW E24 6 Series. They replace the original body-side seals that commonly become hardened, flattened, split, cracked or start leaking water. These are the seals fitted around the door aperture, not the separate lower seals mounted directly to the doors.
This door weatherstripping can turn into dust over 40 years. Over time, the seals become very hard and partially perished. The torn old moulding gasket loses its function and results in a very noisy drive.
The Common Issues
1. Water Leakage
Owners explicitly describe the seals as “split and leaking.” ECS describes their function as keeping the cabin safe from water damage and dry.
2. Wind Noise at Speed
The owner whose seal had “turned to dust” specifically complained about the problem at higher speeds. ECS similarly says the seal keeps out “excess wind noise.”
3. Age Deterioration
Every E24 is now several decades old. The original rubber becomes hard, compressed and cracked. It eventually disintegrates, so it no longer presses properly against the closing door.
4. Very Poor Availability
They are NLA from BMW and no aftermarket alternatives are available.

What We Offer and Include in This Listing
This listing offers a solution to replace the UPPER + UPPER SIDE mouldings. BMW sold these door seals as a whole kit, as a closed door seal. Our set replaces the affected and deteriorated parts only. The set will cover both doors but partially only. Read the below.
- 2 x 130 cm UPPER door seals (highlighted red)
- 2 x 55 cm UPPER SIDE seals (highlighted orange)
- 1x Rubber adhesive
Installation
You will need to carefully measure the affected areas and cut the old upper and side mouldings to size. Measure the length you need and install the new rubber seals in the removed positions.
After fitting the new seals, you can combine them at the upper corner. You need to carefully trim, merge the two seals before using the rubber adhesive we provide. Dont forget... measure twice cut once.
