The installation of an air conditioning bullet piercing valve is quite simple. By this you will able to have a service port to a serviceless unit. This bullet piercing valve gives a no or zero-loss connection to the refrigeration or fridge freezer hose line allowing you to recharge or top-up your unit when it is low on refrigerant.
The bullet piercing service port comes in two pieces. You will need to clamp it on your pipe or copper tubing. A pin comes down and pierces the pipe. The two separated pieces of the valve are held together with the clamping bolts. In the middle section of the service valve there is an Allen key type bolt which adjusts the piercing pin. Screwing that piercing pin in opens a section on the copper tube and gives a service port. Around the piercing pin there is a seal to prevent refrigerant leaking to the air.
1. As to start with you will need to clean the section of the tube.
2. Place the clamp on the tube and screw together the two pieces of the clamp with the 3 socket head bolts
3. Pierce the tube with the middle bolt.
