ZF 8HP Aluminium Gearbox Sump Pan Kit
Replace your original plastic transmission sump with a ZED Performance aluminium gearbox sump pan. Designed for selected ZF 8HP45, 8HP50 and 8HP70 automatic transmissions, this kit combines an aluminium pan with a replaceable filter for straightforward future servicing.
The kit includes one fitted filter and two additional spare filters, together with a rubber sump gasket, 13 sump bolts and a gearbox electrical connector sleeve.
Why Choose This Aluminium Sump?
- Aluminium construction: an alternative to the original moulded plastic gearbox sump.
- Replaceable filter: retain the aluminium pan during future services when it remains in serviceable condition.
- Two spare filters included: keep the correct replacement filters ready for subsequent oil and filter changes.
- Gasket and new sump bolts supplied: key fitting components are included in the kit.
- Connector sleeve included: available for renewal where appropriate to the gearbox and service procedure.
What Is Included?
- 1 aluminium alloy transmission sump pan
- 1 fitted transmission oil filter
- 2 additional spare filters
- 1 rubber sump gasket
- 13 sump mounting bolts
- 1 gearbox electrical connector sleeve
Transmission fluid is required separately.
Vehicle and Gearbox Compatibility
This kit is intended for selected ZF 8HP45, 8HP50 and 8HP70 applications using the original sump family referenced below. The model lists identify applications to check, not guaranteed fitment for every engine, year or drivetrain.
Before ordering, confirm the gearbox identification, original sump part number and clearance for the aluminium pan. An eight-speed automatic gearbox alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
BMW Applications to Check
- 1 Series: F20 and F21
- 2 Series: F22 and F23
- 3 Series: F30, F31 and F34
- 4 Series: F32, F33 and F36
- 5 Series: F07, F10 and F11
- 6 Series: F06, F12 and F13

Jaguar Applications to Check
- XE: X760
- XF: X250 eight-speed versions and X260
- XJ: X351 eight-speed versions
- F-Type: X152 automatic versions
- F-Pace: X761
Check against Jaguar sump references JDE26442 and JDE36541. Manual and six-speed automatic versions are not covered.
Maserati Applications to Check
- Ghibli M157: selected 3.0 V6 petrol and diesel versions, including S and S Q4 applications.
- Quattroporte M156: selected 3.0 V6 petrol, 3.0 diesel and 3.8 V8 GTS applications.
- Levante M161: selected versions using original gearbox sump reference 673005766.
Check Maserati applications against the original sump number and gearbox variant. These references do not establish compatibility with every Maserati eight-speed transmission or hybrid model.
Original Sump and Service-Kit Cross-References
The following numbers identify the original replacement sump family for comparison. They do not mean this aftermarket aluminium kit is a genuine vehicle-manufacturer or ZF part.

Not a universal ZF sump: this listing does not cover 6HP or 8HP90 transmissions. Other 8HP variants require separate confirmation.
Important Servicing Information
Keep the Spare Filters for Your Next Service
The original plastic sump has an integrated filter. This aluminium conversion uses a separate replacement filter, so a standard complete plastic sump/filter assembly is not the replacement filter for this pan. Keep the supplied spares and your kit details together for future servicing.
Use the Correct Fluid and Filling Procedure
Use the transmission fluid specified for the exact gearbox. The vehicle must be level and the oil level set using the correct temperature-controlled procedure.
Maserati owners: ZF's published 8HP service instructions specify a 50–60°C oil-level checking range for Maserati applications, compared with the general 30–50°C range. Follow the procedure applicable to your vehicle rather than assuming a BMW service guide is interchangeable.
Use the tightening sequence and torque instructions specified for this aluminium pan and its supplied fasteners. Do not automatically apply the original plastic pan's bolt torque.
Check Fitment Before Ordering
Have your VIN, gearbox code and original sump part number available when requesting a fitment check. For an aluminium conversion, also compare pan depth, filter pickup position and clearance around the undertray, crossmember and surrounding components.
