Practically: Mitsubishi Evo 4/5/6/7/8 originally 2.0 turbo engine.
Body codes: CN9A, CP9A, CT9A, CT9W
Body codes: CN9A, CP9A, CT9A, CT9W
Therotically: All Mitsubishi Evo. It depends on what engine you want to build.
This kit contains an aftermarket forged Evo 4G64 crankshaft which has a stroke of 100mm and bearing kit including STD small and big end bearings + split type thrust bearings. Non-integrated thrust bearings were used in newer 2nd generation Mitsubishi Evo.
If you ended up on this page you should be aware of the meaning "stroker kit". It basically means that you want to increase the stroke of your engine by stuffing and crankshaft with a larger stroke. Increasing your engine's stroke results other problems with your con rod and piston. You can't just swap your crankshaft using the stock rods and pistons otherwise your piston goes above the deck height and hits the cylinder-head. Do avoid this you need to change either (or both) your con rods and pistons. There are several well known companies offer stroker kits for Mitsubishi Evo but then you will most likely spend thousands on the upgrade.
Why our kit is different to others and what "easy stroker" means?
Additionally to the 100mm 4G64 forged crankshaft and bearings we give you a set of shortened 144mm long forged con rods. This is what you won't buy anywhere else but from us. Why the 144mm long rods are unique?
Stock Evo con rods have the length of 150mm. With our short 144mm long rods you can use your stock piston and no other modification needed. 144mm long rods fix the deck height problem if you still want to use your original pistons. "Easy stroker" because you buy this stroker kit everything included and you can swap your crankshaft + rods over a weekend with a beer in your hand. Easy job.
What you can get out of this stroker kit?
It depends on many variables but eventually you'll get a Mitsubishi Evo 2.3T (2269cc if you have the stock 85mm bore diameter) engine with significantly more torque and faster spool.
Rod Length (mm) | Stroke (mm) | Rod/Stroke Ratio | Piston speed at 1000 RPM (Meter/Second) | |
Stock 4G63 2.0L engine | 150 | 88 | 1.7045 | 2.93 |
Easy Stroker 4G64 2.3L engine | 144 | 100 | 1.44 | 3.33 |
Bear in mind that changing the cubic volume of your engine may require to re-tune engine setup.
Recommended for:
Due to its lower rod/stroke ratio this kit is recommended for normal street use only. It is recommended for everyone who wants a little more torque and who doesn't use their engine at higher RPM on a regular basis. Max 8000 RPM.
(*We offer other 4G63 crankshaft (88mm stroke) kit with bearings included. Please search in our online store.)
