Within this listing, we offer a brand-new YD25 crankshaft. It is not used or reground.

This YD25 crankshaft kit will fit selected Nissan Navara D22, Navara D40 and Pathfinder R51 engines.

Why Does the YD25 Crankshaft Need Replacing?

A failed or spun big-end bearing can score and overheat the crankshaft journal, making crankshaft replacement necessary.

The damaged crankshaft is often the result rather than the original cause. During the rebuild, the oil pump, harmonic-balancer oil-pump drive and oil galleries should also be inspected. Otherwise, the same oil-supply problem could damage the replacement crankshaft.

Useful diagnosis tip: If the engine has a ticking or knocking noise—especially when cold—check the alternator one-way pulley before assuming the crankshaft or timing chain has failed. YD25 owners have reported that a worn pulley can produce a very similar noise.

• 1 × NDC connecting-rod bearing set – STD size
• 1 × NDC thrust bearing set – STD size
• 4 × D40/R51 YD25 connecting rods
• 1 × overhaul gasket set

D22 owners: The timing-cover gasket supplied in the overhaul gasket set will not fit the D22.

We can no longer source Taiho bearings. All YD25 crankshaft kits will therefore be supplied with Japanese NDC bearings.
