The following camshaft replacement kit is for Volkswagen 2.5 TDi PD engines:

VW Transporter T5
VW Touareg
VW Multivan

These vehicles all have the 5 cylinder 2.5 TDi PD diesel engine. 

Engine volume: 2461cc.

*Valve cover bolts (16pcs) (Replacement bolt set at extra cost)

The camshaft replacement kit has everything you need when you have to replace a worn camshaft such as:

1 set of Glyco engine camshaft bearings.  Camshaft bearings come in two separated box. One box contains 10pcs of large camshaft bearings and the other box has 2pcs of small bearings. 12pcs in total. These camshaft bearings are heavy duty electro galvanised bearings.

Glyco is a OE quality provider. All camshaft bearings are STD size.

There are two different camshafts for Transporter 2.5 PD TDI engine. In our store we offer for both engines and it all depends on your engine code. The cam part number is either 070109101P or 070109101Q. You will need to select the right option for your engine:

VW OE camshaft part number: 070109101P
Suitable for engine codes: AXD, AXE, BAC, BLK, BLJ

Camshaft part number: 070109101Q
For 2.5 TDI engine codes: BNZ, BPC, BPE, BPD

Engine code can be found in you registration documents (V5) of the car but if you still don't know which cam you need to choose then please contact us by our contact form and send us your reg number (if you are from the UK) or your 17 digit chassis number.

Please make sure that you have the correct engine code before you purchase. Engine code can be found in the registration document of the car.

Full kit option contains the following for AXD, AXE, BAC, BLK, BLJ engines:

+ Injector seal kit
+ End cap (Also called camshaft plug or bung seal)
+ Diamond washer (Genuine OE)
+ Reinz manifold gaskets (set)

(Please note that BAC, BLK, BLJ engines do not need a rocker cover gasket! AXD, AXE rocker cover gasket is optional.)

Full kit option contains the following for BPD BNZ BPC BPE engines:

+ All above listed plus an Elring rocker cover gasket.

Nitrided option is German made billet steel camshaft provided by HEwerk from Germany. (Hardened steel camshaft. Our picture below shows the Nitrided option).  The steel forged camshafts have gone through nitriding process which adds an extra layer of durability. If you dont see this option then it is likely that we are temporarily out of stock. Please keep in mind that no matter how good quality cam you purchase if your injector hubs and their seals leak the diesel to the engine oil. Read the bottom of the page. Nitriding is a hardening process which hardens the outer layer of the material. In this process the color of the camshaft changes to dark grey / black.
