VW 2.0 TDI 16V PD Injector and Rocker Bolt Set: 13 Pieces
We supply this 13-piece injector and rocker bolt set for selected VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda 2.0 TDI 16-valve PD engines. You recieve five injector rocker shaft bolts and eight injector hold-down bolts. The set is for injector removal or replacement and repairs that require removal of the injector rocker shaft.
Injector seal packs for all four injectors can be added through the product checkboxes. Choose the correct Bosch or Siemens/VDO option after checking the injectors fitted to your egnine.
Bolts included
- 5 × injector rocker shaft bolts. M8 × 58 mm. VW OE reference N 105 811 01 / N10581101.
- 8 × injector hold-down bolts. M6 × 88 mm. VW OE reference WHT 003 179 / WHT003179. Also listed against 03G 103 385 A.
The bolt set doesnt include camshaft bearing cap bolts, injector adjuster screws, ball pins or injector seals. Any additional parts required for the repair must be selected or sourced seperately.
Why eight injector bolts?
On these 16-valve PD engines each injector is secured by two hold-down bolts. Four injectors therefore need eight bolts. The injector rocker shaft uses the five larger bolts.
Check this layout before ordering. A kit containing four injector hold-down bolts belongs to a different arrangement and isnt a substitute for this set.
When to renew the bolts
Renew the injector hold-down bolts when the injectors are removed. Replace any rocker shaft bolts removed to gain access. This applies during injector replacement, injector seal replacement and camshaft or cylinder head work involving these fasteners.
These are stretch bolts with a specified torque and additional tightening angle. A used bolt may look undamaged but that doesnt make it suitable for reuse. Follow the tightening sequence and settings in the workshop procedure for your exact engine code.
Fit new injector seals when refitting a used injector. The repair also requires correct injector positioning and rocker adjustment. New bolts alone wont correct an injector that has been fitted or adjusted incorrectly.

For selected 2.0 TDI 16-valve PD / PPD engines. The dates below are approximate application periods. They dont mean every 2.0 TDI sold within those years uses this bolt arrangement. Match the engine code and original bolt references before ordering.

Not for common-rail 2.0 TDI engines. Some models changed from PD to common rail while retaining the same 2.0 TDI badge. Check the actual engine and injector type rather than relying on the badge or registration year.
Optional injector seal packs
Each checkbox adds seals for all four injectors. The option supplies four individual seal kits with one kit for each injector. You dont need to select a quantity of four.
Choose one seal type only. Bosch PD and Siemens/VDO PPD seal kits arent interchangeable. Check the manufacturer and part number on the injectors before selecting an option. A replacement engine or previous injector work may mean the parts fitted differ from the original application.
Option 1: Bosch PD seals for four injectors
This option supplies 4 × Bosch 1 417 010 996 / 1417010996 injector seal kits. Each individual kit is for one compatible Bosch PD unit injector.
Related VW seal-kit references include 03G 198 051 and 03G 198 051 A. These shouldnt be confused with the Siemens/VDO reference 03G 198 051 D.
Relevant Bosch-equipped 2.0 TDI 16-valve PD applications include AZV and BKD. Confirm the injector number before ordering.
Option 2: Siemens/VDO PPD seals for four injectors
This option supplies four injector seal kits corresponding to VW 03G 198 051 D / 03G198051D for the compatible Siemens/VDO piezo PD injector family. Related aftermarket references include Elring 690.170 and ET Engineteam TM0042.
Listed applications for this seal family include BKP, BMA, BMN, BMR, BRD, BUY, BUZ, BVA, BVD, BVE and BWV. Typical applications include:
- Passat B6 with BKP, BMA, BMR, BUZ, BVE or BWV
- Golf Mk5, Jetta, Touran, Octavia Mk2 and Leon Mk2 with BMN
- Audi A3 with BUY or BMN
- Audi A4 B7 with BVA or BRD

Seal-kit contents vary by manufacturer and pack version. Dont assume every equivalent seal kit also includes the injector adjuster screw and ball pin. Confirm these items against the selected pack contents.
Checks before refitting the injectors
New seals wont repair a worn injector body or damaged bore in the cylinder head. Inspect the sealing surfaces and injector fit before refitting. If the injector continues to move in a worn bore the new seals may leak again.
Follow the engine-specific procedure for inspecting and renewing the injector adjuster screw and ball pin. These parts arent included in the 13-bolt set. Check whether they are supplied with your chosen seal pack or need ordering separately.
Have the work carried out by a mechanic familiar with PD engines. Use the correct tools to fit the seals without twisting or damaging them and follow the specified injector installation, bolt-tightening and rocker adjustment procedure.
