Mitsubishi Evo 6 and Evo 7 Timing Belt Kit – Also Fits Evo 4 and Evo 5

This Mitsubishi Evo timing belt rebuild kit is for Evo 4, 5, 6 and 7 models with the 2.0-litre 4G63T engine. The kit contains the belt drive parts listed below with GMB pulley bearings and a Contitech timing belt. Other pulleys and gears are German aftermarket products.

The standard kit is for engines that still have their balance shafts fitted. You can also select the balance shaft delete option or add a water pump, oil pump and AC delete belt using the options above the Add to Cart button.

Compatible Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Models

This timing belt kit fits the following 4G63T-powered Evo 4–7 models. The production/model year ranges below are a guide. Check the model and engine fitted rather than relying only on the registration year.

• Evo 4 / Evolution IV: 1996–1998 – CN9A.
• Evo 5 / Evolution V: 1998–1999 – CP9A.
• Evo 6 / Evolution VI: 1999–2001 – CP9A.
• Evo 6 Tommi Mäkinen Edition / TME: 2000–2001 – CP9A. Also commonly called Evo 6.5.
• Evo 7 / Evolution VII: 2001–2002 – CT9A.

Choose Your Kit Options

Keeping the Balance Shafts

If your Evo engine still has its balance shafts and you intend to keep them, choose the standard kit. This includes the balance shaft belt and related drive parts listed above.

Balance Shaft Delete Option

If you intend to delete the balance shafts tick “Balance shaft delete option” above the Add to Cart button.

With this option, you will receive the following parts added to the basic kit:

• Balance shaft cap.
• Balance stub shaft.
• Balance shaft bearings to block the oil gallery.

Optional Oil Pump and Gasket

Select “Add oil pump & gasket” if these are required for your rebuild. The standard kit includes an oil pump sprocket. The oil pump itself is supplied only when this option is selected.

Optional AC Delete Contitech Belt

If you wish to delete your AC (air conditioning), tick “Add AC delete Contitech belt”. This belt allows you to bypass the AC compressor. It is a separate auxiliary belt and does not replace the timing belt.
