Mitsubishi Evo 8/9 4G63 Crankshaft - 88mm 7-Bolt

New Mitsubishi 4G63 crankshaft for Evo 8 and Evo 9. This is a brand new aftermarket crankshaft, not a remanufactured or reground unit.

The crankshaft has the standard 88mm stroke, 7-bolt flywheel pattern and is based on OE reference MD357543.

The kit is supplied with STD size Taiho main, con rod and split thrust bearings.

This crankshaft is suitable for the following Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution applications:

Can This Crankshaft Be Used in an Evo 1, 2 or 3?

Yes, but some parts will need to be changed.

Mitsubishi Evo 1, Evo 2 and Evo 3 engines use a different crankshaft setup from the later models. The earlier crankshaft uses a 6-bolt flywheel pattern and the connecting rod big-end width is around 2mm wider.

If you want to use this crankshaft in an Evo 1, 2 or 3 engine, you will need to use the correct earlier-style thrust bearings and suitable connecting rods.

The split thrust bearings supplied with this kit are intended for the later Evo application, so they should be replaced with the correct type for an earlier engine build.
