Automotive AC Charging Tool Kit for R134A, R1234YF and R437A

This automotive AC charging tool kit includes a low-side 150 psi pressure gauge. The lower-pressure gauge provides excellent resolution when charging conventional R134A or newer R1234YF automotive air-conditioning systems.

This kit is suitable for basic automotive AC charging and maintenance work in a garage or workshop.

R1234YF and R437A Compatibility

Newer vehicles, including Land Rover, Jaguar and Mercedes models, use R1234YF refrigerant. These systems require dedicated R1234YF quick couplers because conventional R134A couplers will not fit. The correct R1234YF couplers are included with this kit.

The gauges are marked with an R1234YF temperature chart. They also include an R437A temperature chart for older R12 systems that have been retrofitted to use R437A refrigerant.

Older vehicles, including some Mercedes and Volvo models, originally used R12 refrigerant. R12 has since been phased out. The included R12-to-R134A adaptors allow the charging equipment to connect to older R12-style service ports when using a suitable replacement refrigerant.

Canister and Cylinder Adaptors

When purchasing refrigerant canisters, the following tap valves and cylinder adaptors can be used to connect the canister to the charging equipment:

• Universal canister tap valve: silver-coloured and also suitable for R600A canisters.
• 7/16-inch canister tap valve: red-coloured. Please confirm that your canister uses a 7/16-inch thread.
• M14 R134A tap valve: green-coloured.
• 1/2-inch to 1/4-inch ACME flare tap valve: gold-coloured.
• R1234YF cylinder adaptor: connects to a 1/4-inch male flare outlet.
• R134A/R437A cylinder adaptor: connects to a 1/4-inch male flare outlet and fits most non-flammable refrigerant cylinders.

Important: Always confirm the refrigerant type, cylinder connection and service-port fitting before use.

Rotary-Vane Vacuum Pump

The rotary-vane vacuum pump is suitable for professional or DIY automotive AC servicing.

Included: One bottle of compressor oil.

Important: Fill the vacuum pump with oil before using it. Do not operate the pump without oil.
