Air Conditioner Recharge Tool Kit with Vacuum Pump and Scales

This AC recharge tool kit includes a double-gauge manifold, a rotary vane vacuum pump and 100 kg refrigerant charging scales. The vacuum pump is supplied with a mechanical vacuum gauge and solenoid fitted.

Checking Whether Your AC System Holds a Vacuum

After evacuating the air conditioning system, isolate the vacuum pump and monitor the system vacuum. A loss of vacuum during a 30-minute hold test may indicate a leak. Follow the system manufacturer's requirements for the vacuum level and test duration.

Check the hoses, connections and Schrader valves before assuming the leak is elsewhere in the system. A leaking Schrader valve may need replacing. We also sell leak detectors in our online store to help locate refrigerant leaks.

The fitted solenoid closes the vacuum line between the pump and the vacuum gauge when the pump is switched off. This allows the gauge to remain connected to the system while the pump is isolated.

Mechanical and Digital Vacuum Gauges

The included mechanical vacuum gauge provides a simple indication of the vacuum level. A digital micron gauge provides finer measurements when checking a deep vacuum. Oil and other contaminants can affect digital vacuum sensors, so keep the sensor clean and follow the gauge manufacturer's instructions.
